Project Bronte from the Summerlite DK Collection by Rowan

Summerlite DK is beautifully soft, tactile and light to wear. The yarn is made from the finest Giza cotton making it ideal for delicate summer knits or crochet.
Martin Storey has designed 12 knits for women in the Rowan Summerlite DK pattern book and I have chosen the Bronte cardigan to highlight the collection. The pattern offers a massive range of sizes from 8-26 (Bust sizes 32-50in) and the cardigan takes between 7 and 11 balls of yarn worked on 3.25 & 3.75mm needles.
The cardigan is cropped and has some lovely detailing: small cables on the ribbing of the sleeves and main body and a pretty diamond shaped lace pattern up the front. The Summerlite DK's cotton allows the body and set-in sleeves to drape beautifully.
The version above was knitted in XS which took 7 balls of yarn in 'Mocha' at just £4.49 for a 50g ball. For further details on the products used please click on the links below:
