Project Alexa from Big Wool Knits by Rowan

This Super Chunky sweater is knitted in Rowan's Big Wool. It is a great project for someone just starting to knit as well as for the more accomplished knitter looking to make a cosy sweater for the chilly nights ahead.
The front is given interest by the large cable detailing and oversized neck. The project offers a wide range of sizing from XS to XXL. The sweater shown above is knitted in 'Cactus' and this XS size took 8 balls of Big Wool which is 100% wool and costs £9 per 100g.
The back of the sweater is knitted in stocking stitch with a deep rib detail in the hem, sleeves and neck.The 'maxi' wool knits up quickly on 9mm & 10mm needles and is a popular choice amongst designers and knitters.
The 'Big Wool Knits' book by Rowan contains a lovely collection of designs using this wool which is available in a selection of lovely colours.
